2023 Subaru Solterra vs 2023 Toyota bZ4X: Design

The 2023 Solterra and the 2023 bZ4X compact SUVs are the same size, both offering standard 18" alloy wheels with the option of stepping up to a higher trim level for 20" wheels. Where the Solterra really stands out in its design is the standard twin liftgate rear spoilers that help manage airflow in conjunction with a full underbody tray for quiet, efficient, and safe driving. The bZ4X only offers a standard ducktail rear spoiler and a rear lower diffuser. Both electric vehicles offer available power rear gates for convenient loading and unloading of cargo while only the Solterra comes with available roof rails for extra cargo space. Two-tone roof paint is available on the Solterra for a more jaunty countenance as well as a glass roof for a more open feel. You don't have to sacrifice style when you choose the all-electric Solterra, which offers three trim levels to choose from where the bZ4X only offers two.

2023 Subaru Solterra vs 2023 Toyota bZ4X: Convenience & Comfort

Even though both SUVs are the same size, the 2023 Solterra edges out the 2023 bZ4X when it comes to interior space. Offering a vast 95.7 cubic feet of passenger volume, the Solterra offers more front and rear headroom as well as more cargo space. Behind the rear seat, both vehicles have similar numbers but when you lay the rear seat flat, the Solterra opens up to provide a vast 73.0 cubic feet of room while the bZ4X only offers 56.1 cubic feet. Only the Solterra offers available Star-Tex trimmed upholstery for a more comfortable ride. You'll find available ventilated front seats and heated steering wheel in both SUVs but you'll find heated front and rear seats available only in the Solterra. To get those amenities on the bZ4X, you'll have to pay more for the optional upgrade.

Staying connected these days is of the utmost importance and the 2023 Solterra has all the tools and technology to help. Both the Solterra and the bZ4X offer cloud-based navigation, wireless charging, and a large, standard 12.3" high-resolution touchscreen that includes wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Only the Solterra offers the convenience of the available voice-activated assistant; just say "hey Subaru" and find the nearest charging station or coffee shop without taking your hands off of the wheel. Both the Solterra and the bZ4X offer available premium audio systems for the ultimate musical experience.
