2021 Subaru Crosstrek vs. 2021 Subaru Forester: Size & Utility

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek is roughly the size of a typical compact hatchback -- with a little bit more cargo space inside than you might expect. After all, it is a Subaru. That means you'll enjoy the flexibility of up to 55.3 cubic feet of cargo volume or comfortable, flat-folding rear seats giving you 36.5" of rear seat legroom. Meanwhile, the 2021 Subaru Forester is a true SUV, and it's a little bit bigger. Maximum cargo volume is 76.1 cubic feet with the rear seats folded, and rear seat passengers will get 39.4" of legroom.

The 2021 Subaru Forester even offers an available power tailgate with height memory function for easier cargo loading and unloading! That's a feature you can't find on the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek.

2021 Subaru Crosstrek vs. 2021 Subaru Forester: Features

In addition to greater rear seat legroom, the 2021 Subaru Forester adds a few rear seat comforts you can't get on the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek. The rear seats in the Forester are available with recline for extra comfort on longer journeys, and the top-of-the-line Touring trim provides rear seats that fold away at the touch of a button!

Both vehicles provide similar standard features including an automatic climate control system and a touchscreen infotainment system complete with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Both cars even offer some premium upgrades like leather upholstery, a premium Harman Kardon® audio system and more.
