Take a look at the 2022 WRX and WRX GT; the athletic body structure and muscular build of the vehicles immediately draws the eye and holds your attention. The 17" alloy wheels are standard on the WRX while the WRX GT offers standard 18" alloy wheels. LED headlights are standard fare on the WRX, while the innovative LED steering responsive headlights come standard on the WRX GT, as well as LED fog lights. The front and rear under spoilers and a rear bumper with integrated diffuser are standard to both trim levels, but a sporty trunk spoiler is only available with the WRX GT. Ground clearance for both is 4.9". The power tilt moonroof, windshield wiper de-icer and heated side mirrors are all included with the WRX GT but are not available on the WRX.

Both the 2022 WRX and the WRX GT offer an abundance of passenger volume; the WRX has 98.9 cubic feet of passenger volume compared to 97.5 cubic feet in the WRX GT. Inside the WRX you'll find a 6-way manually adjustable driver's seat, whereas the WRX GT features an 8-way power adjustable seat.  Standard on the WRX is the STARLINK® multimedia system featuring a 7-inch screen and cloth upholstery seats. The WRX GT is a little more luxe, offering heated front seats, Recaro® performance-design front seats, the Harman Kardon® premium audio system, Ultrasuede® trimmed upholstery dual rear USB car ports and  the STARLINK® multimedia navigation system with a 11.6-inch screen.

2022 WRX vs WRX GT: Performance

Both the 2022 WRX and the WRX GT feature a 2.4-liter turbocharged direct-injection BOXER® engine, which puts out 271 horsepower and 258 lb/ft of torque. Standard on both models is the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The WRX GT comes standard with SI-Drive Engine Performance Management System, Subaru Performance Transmission, and Variable Torque Transmission (AWD), features that are optional upgrades for the WRX. Available on on the WRX GT is the Drive Select Mode. The sport-tuned 4-wheel independent suspension is standard for both trim levels, and electronically controlled dampers are added with the WRX GT. The WRX has slightly better highway mileage, with 26 highway MPG compared to WRX GT at 25 highway MPG.
